BEIRUT: U.N.-Arab League envoy Lakhdar Brahimi is expected in Damascus on Friday to try to broker a brief ceasefire in the war between President Bashar al-Assad and rebels, U.N. spokesman in Damascus Khaled al-Masri told Reuters.
