EU hopes for positive Iran response on nuclear offer

ALMATY, Kazakhstan: EU foreign policy chief Catherine Ashton said Wednesday she hoped to receive a positive response from Iran concerning a nuclear offer presented by world powers at the two-day talks that wrapped up in Kazakhstan.

"I hope that the Iranian side are looking positively on the proposals we put forward," Ashton told reporters. "The proposals we put forward are designed to build in confidence and enable us to move forward."
