ANKARA: Officials say a fire at a camp for Syrian refugees in Turkey has killed two children and injured four other people.

The state-run Anadolu Agency said Tuesday a tent at the Suleyman Shah refugee camp, in Sanliurfa province, caught light and the fire spread to neighboring tents. A 5-year child died at the scene, while a 15-year-old died later of his wounds in a hospital. Four people are being treated for severe burns.

Deputy Prime Minister Besir Atalay told reporters the fire was apparently caused by the refugees' "illegal use of electricity" that is provided for radiators used to heat the tents.

Last month, five siblings were killed in a similar fire at another refugee camp in Turkey. That fire was triggered by an electric heater.
