France, U.K. increasingly concerned over chemical arms in Syria

BRUSSELS: French and British foreign ministers have expressed growing concern over the apparent willingness of President Bashar al-Assad to use chemical weapons in the civil war in Syria.

In a letter to EU foreign policy chief Catherine Ashton dated March 21, Laurent Fabius and William Hague said:

"The crisis is increasingly threatening regional stability... and we are increasingly concerned about the regime's willingness to use chemical weapons."
