Qatar donates $1,000 for each destroyed Gazan home

BEIRUT: Qatar is donating $1,000 to each homeowner whose house was leveled during Israel’s military campaign on Gaza, a Palestinian official said Saturday.

Deputy Social Affairs Minister Omar al-Dari told Safa News Agency that the ministry would distribute aid coming from the Qatari Committee to Rebuild Gaza in two days and it was $1,000 for homeowner whose house was completely destroyed during the aggression.

"The government committee in Gaza will supervise the distribution of such help and the Social Affairs Ministry offices will distribute the money in its branches across Gaza,” he said.

He also said that the ministry was working on verifying and finalizing a list of names of homeowners in a transparent matter.

“It is an urgent aid to families who have lost their homes during the aggression to that it could rent a house for several months and buy necessary stuff.”
