Brahimi ends talks with Syrian government

GENEVA: International mediator Lakhdar Brahimi ended talks with a Syrian government delegation on Friday after less than an hour, two security officials said.

Brahimi is due to meet separately with the Syrian opposition delegation later on Friday in an effort to start negotiations aimed at ending nearly three years of conflict.
