Militants kill 9 Iraqi soldiers north of Baquba

BAQUBA, Iraq: Militants killed nine Iraqi soldiers and wounded 38 others in clashes north of Diyala provincial capital Baquba Wednesday, an officer and doctors said.

The militants attacked an army base in the Mansuriyah area, sparking fighting that lasted from the morning into the afternoon.
