BEIRUT: The Internal Security Forces said Sunday that a policeman was killed and five others injured in a road accident northeast of Beirut.
An ISF statement said the accident occurred at midnight Saturday in the area of Atchana when a military vehicle carrying a patrol turned over and crashed.
“The patrol was coming back from a security mission in Dhour Choueir,” the statement added.
The deceased police officer was identified as Sergeant George Dagher.
