UN Security Council to hold emergency meeting on Gaza

UNITED NATIONS, United States:  The United Nations Security Council will hold an emergency meeting late Sunday on the situation in Gaza, where the Palestinian death toll passed 100 in a single day.

Diplomats said the meeting set for 9:30 pm (0130 GMT Monday) was requested by council member Jordan, following a call by Palestinian president Mahmud Abbas.
