France announces 11m euros in aid for Gaza

PARIS: President Francois Hollande Thursday announced an 11-million-euro ($14.8 million) aid package for Gaza after meeting French non-governmental organisations working in the area.

The NGOs "highlighted the gravity of the situation, the scale of the humanitarian needs of the civilian population and the difficulty of humanitarian workers in getting to the victims," Hollande's office said.
