Sixteen Syrian Hezbollah fighters were killed Friday in a fierce attack launched by rebels in the country's north, a Lebanese security source told The Daily Star Saturday.Observatory head Rami Abdel Rahman told AFP that "violent clashes followed a suicide attack, between the Syrian army and pro-government troops on one side, and Islamist fighters on the other".At least 33 pro-government fighters and 38 opposition fighters were killed, he added, saying the rebels seized several neighborhoods in Bashkoy. Rebel groups control the eastern parts of the city while the west is held by government troops.
