ISIS has claimed a bomb attack on a Shiite Houthi mosque in the Yemeni capital of Sanaa Friday, wounding 13 people.Earlier this year, a group of Islamist fighters in Yemen renounced their loyalty to Al-Qaeda's leader and pledged allegiance to the head of ISIS.Al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP), Al-Qaeda's Yemeni wing, has killed hundreds in attacks across the country in recent years and has taken advantage of fighting in recent months to consolidate its hold in eastern regions.
