France said Friday it intended to make another push at trying to resolve the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and warned that if its efforts failed, it would recognize a Palestinian state, while Hamas said it was ready for a new confrontation with Israel.There have been no serious moves to resume the peace talks between Israel and Palestinians.Palestinian envoy to the U.N. said Palestinian officials are waging a new campaign at the United Nations to revive peace prospects, with the starting point possibly a Security Council resolution condemning Israeli settlements.As a permanent member of the U.N. Security Council, Fabius said that France had a responsibility to try to keep up efforts to find a solution between Israel and the Palestinians.
