The stabbing bid at a military post around Anabta village near the city of Tulkarem came on the eve of an international meeting in Paris on reviving Israeli-Palestinian peace talks.Violence since October has killed 206 Palestinians, 28 Israelis, two Americans, an Eritrean and a Sudanese national.France Friday will host a meeting of foreign ministers from around 30 countries as well as representatives from the United Nations and European Union as part of an effort to jump-start Israeli-Palestinian talks. It aims to lay the groundwork for an international peace conference before the end of the year that the Israelis and Palestinians would attend. However, the head of Israel's Foreign Ministry said Thursday that France's bid to revive Israel-Palestinian peace talks was doomed to failure, like a 1916 colonial effort to carve up the Middle East.
