Benjamin Ladraa, a 25-year-old former student from Sweden, has drawn worldwide attention for embarking on a solo mission to walk from Sweden to Palestine, to raise awareness about human rights violations against occupied Palestine. In an interview with The Daily Star, the activist said he estimates he has one month left – Jordan being his penultimate destination – before he crosses the border and reaches occupied Jerusalem.Only 24 years old when he first started, Ladraa abandoned his studies and his work to embark on the epic trip. The rest of the time, Ladraa holds public lectures and meetings, informing people of the situation in Palestine and the everyday realities faced by people there.Ladraa's empathy for the cause and motivation to act came last year after a trip to Palestine.
