BEIRUT: Hezbollah lashed out at the March 14 Thursday, saying accusations by the alliance that the resistance group had been in some way involved in a recent attack on U.N. peacekeepers in the south were “unacceptable.”
A Hezbollah statement said remarks made by some March 14 officials regarding last week’s roadside bomb that targeted the French contingent belonging to the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon in the south are “unacceptable and very serious.”
“Those who made these statements are acting as part of a scheme targeting the resistance, and this is what drives them to launch such irresponsible accusations," Hezbollah said.
Hezbollah “condemns these political accusations and warns of the danger of this behavior and the implications and risks that could harm the country and its people," the statement said.
