Syrian arrested in Beirut on arms smuggling charges

BEIRUT: A Syrian national was arrested at Beirut airport overnight for his alleged involvement in arms smuggling from Lebanon to Syria, security sources told The Daily Star Monday.

They said Mohammad Shaker Bashlah, 28, who was preparing to fly to Riyadh, was arrested late Sunday.

Weapons smuggling across the border to Syria is reported to have increased substantially since the beginning of the uprising there.

Fools stay out of Syria[in Turkey] and make the people who stay in Syria to come to streets. People of Syria are not that much bold as Libya. Libya took guns. But the fools say NATO not to inter-vein. Whose life is lost? Just i read the news that the Death of Gidaffi has raised the hope and again the count of the demonstrators has gone high, which clearly says that the count has slowly reduced. Sure the fools staying in Turkey will be kicked off Syria if the Syrian Free Army doesn't take guys. And now fools you say who will support Free Syrian Army? Even the Army Deflectors can been killed, you loose people and the army men and yourself. Think before it goes waste...call for NATO
