BEIRUT: Lebanese Forces head Samir Geagea will tackle the Christian presence in Lebanon and the Middle East during a mass on Sept. 24, commemorating fallen members of the party, a source close to Geagea told The Daily Star Wednesday.
Titled “Memorial Mass for the Martyrs of the Lebanese Resistance,” the mass is a yearly event organized by the LF at the Fouad Chehab Stadium in Jounieh.
In 2009 Geagea apologized for the LF’s wrongdoings during Lebanon’s 1975-90 Civil War and last year he called upon youth members of the Free Patriotic Movement to work together with their peers in the LF in order to preserve Christian unity.
LF sources said that Geagea will tackle issues such as the Special Tribunal for Lebanon and the wave of protests that have swept the Arab world
