Hezbollah condemns Rabbani assassination

BEIRUT: Hezbollah issued a statement Wednesday strongly condemning the assassination of Afghan peace broker and former President Burhanudin Rabbani in a suicide attack in Kabul, according to the National News Agency.

“The arm of terror continues to execute its crimes which target leaders, and the last victim was the great leader Burhanudin Rabbani,” the statement said.

Rabbani was killed Tuesday by a suicide bomber with explosives concealed in his turban who entered his home in Kabul.
