BEIRUT: Former Prime Minister Saad Hariri congratulated Wednesday the French and Lebanese presidents, among other government and military officials, over the Christmas holiday.
A statement from Hariri’s office said the head of the Future Movement made several phone calls to a number of officials, clergymen and lawmakers, congratulating them on the holidays.
Most prominent were phone calls to French President Francois Hollande, President Michel Sleiman, former President Amin Gemayel, Deputy Speaker Farid Makari, Maronite Cardinal Beshara Rai, Interior Minister Marwan Charbel, former deputy prime ministers Michel Murr and Issam Fares, Lebanese Forces leader Samir Geagea, and Lebanese Army commander Gen. Jean Kahwagi.
