BEIRUT: Lebanese Forces leader Samir Geagea met Wednesday with the American and Italian ambassadors and discussed with them the situation in Lebanon and the region.
Geagea and U.S. Ambassador Maura Connelly addressed the latest developments in Lebanon and its neighboring countries in the presence of LF’s Foreign Relations head Pierre Bou Assi and LF Foreign Relations adviser Elie Khoury.
Geagea also met with Italian Ambassador Giuseppe Morabito who, following the meeting, voiced “Italy’s concern over the crisis in Syria and its repercussions on Lebanon,” But, Morabito added, “I am confident that the Lebanese political class will be up to the responsibility of avoiding any negative consequences of this crisis on Lebanon as it has done until now.”
