BEIRUT: Former Prime Minister Saad Hariri said Monday he was recovering from a leg injury he sustained while skiing in the French Alps in January.

Hariri told his followers on the microblogging website Twitter that his recovery was coming along well, adding that he has four hours of physiotherapy every day.

“The pain is diminishing thank God,” Hariri tweeted. “I am sure you understand all this is preventing me from tweeting as often as I would like to.” Hariri also paid tribute to journalist Anthony Shadid, who died last week on the Turkish-Syrian border following an asthma attack. The head of the Future Movement described Shadid as a “great reporter.”

“Anthony Shadid’s passing away while reporting in Syria is a great loss for journalism, Lebanon and those who want to understand our region,” added Hariri.

The Daily Star is obsessed with Hariri. Hariri tweeted this and Hariri tweeded that… is this news? The current Prime Minister receives fewer headlines and less attention than Hariri.
