Senior U.S. military commander meets Lebanese army officials

BEIRUT: Commander of U.S. Naval Forces Central Command Vice Admiral Mark I. Fox visited Lebanon Tuesday and met with Lebanese Army General Jean Kahwagi.

Fox also met separately with Lebanese Naval Commander Rear Admiral Nazih Baroudi to discuss bilateral military cooperation.

According to the U.S. Embassy’s press release, Fox emphasized during his meetings the strong and sustained naval cooperation between the two countries.

He arrived at Rafik Hariri International Airport from Bahrain before midday Tuesday.
