BEIRUT: Prime Minister Najib Mikati held a working session over the weekend to look into a comprehensive economic plan, his office said Saturday.

Mikati headed the meeting at the Grand Serail which included Economy Minister Nicholas Nahhas and a number of specialists, to study economic issues in general as well as a comprehensive economic plan that will be announced shortly, Mikati’s office said.

Discussions also focused on the work of Nahhas’ ministry, particularly on ways of protecting consumers and regulating prices in the markets, it added.
