BEIRUT: Future Movement leader Saad Hariri said Monday the Special Tribunal for Lebanon is forging ahead in its pursuit of the persons suspected of murdering his father, former Prime Minister Rafik Hariri.

“We promise all the Lebanese and the family of martyr [Wissam] Eid to continue pursuing the perpetrators of this heinous crime and all the other terrorist crimes that targeted the pillars of freedom and independence; we promise to uncover the truth,” Hariri said in a statement.

“And here is the international tribunal forging ahead in its pursuit of these criminals,” he added.

His remarks were on the occasion of the fourth anniversary of the assassination of Maj. Wissam Eid.
