Belgium House Speaker arrives in Beirut

BEIRUT: Belgian House of Representatives Speaker André Flahaut arrived Monday in Beirut on an official visit expected to last several days.

The Belgian official's visit comes in response to an invitation from his Lebanese counterpart to discuss a coordination program between the two Parliaments.

Apart from Berri, the speaker is set to meet with President Michel Sleiman, Prime Minister Najib Mikati and other officials.
