BEIRUT: Former Prime Minister Saad Hariri said Thursday the issue of arms in Lebanon posed the greatest danger to this small Mediterranean country.

"The problem of weapons in Lebanon, the illegal weapons in all their regional, internal, sectarian, family, jihadist and expiatory functions is the mother of all problems in Lebanon," he said, on the occasion of the eighth anniversary of the assassination of his father, former Prime Minister Rafik Hariri.
