Jumblatt says to meet France’s Hollande soon

BEIRUT: Progressive Socialist Party leader MP Walid Jumblatt said in remarks published Tuesday he would be holding talks with French President Francois Hollande in the coming few days.

However, Jumblatt, who spoke to As-Safir newspaper, did not specify an exact date for the expected meeting.

According to the report, Hollande would also be meeting with Kataeb leader Amin Gemayel later this month.

Preparations are also under way for a meeting between the French president and Lebanon’s Cardinal Beshara Rai, the report added.
