BEIRUT: Hezbollah leader Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah said Friday his party supported proportional representation as a basis for any electoral law to govern the upcoming elections.

“For Hezbollah, the main principle for any electoral law should be proportional representation,” Nasrallah said Friday.

The leader of the resistance group said his party would back any proposal that was based on proportional representation.

“We would adopt any law that is governed by proportional representation and the rest is mere details,” he said.
