BEIRUT: U.S. Coordinator for Middle Eastern Affairs Philip Gordon arrived to Lebanon Monday.
Gordon was appointed in March as special assistant to the president and coordinator for the Middle East, North Africa and the Persian Gulf.
A delegation from the U.S. Embassy in Beirut welcomed the official upon his arrival from Cairo at the Rafik Hariri International Airport.
Gordon has served as assistant secretary of state for Europe and Eurasian affairs since 2009.
