DONETSK, Ukraine: Pro-Russian rebels in Ukraine's eastern city of Donetsk paraded dozens of imprisoned government soldiers before a crowd of onlookers Sunday in a bid to mock Kiev's Independence Day celebrations.

The soldiers, captured in the course of Kiev's offensive against the separatists, were gathered on central Lenin square to heckles and shouts of "Fascists! Fascists!," according to AFP correspondents at the scene.
