A Syrian-born man who fought in Bosnia's inter-ethnic war in the 1990s and deemed a security threat was released Thursday after spending more than seven years in custody awaiting deportation.Al-Husin was one of many Muslim foreign fighters who flocked to Bosnia during the 1992-95 war, joining a mujahideen unit notorious for criminal activities.He was granted Bosnian citizenship 12 years ago and went on to marry a Bosnian woman with whom he has three children, but he was stripped of his Bosnian passport in 2007 .
