Jawad O. was arrested on Nov. 24, the prosecutors said, a few days after Islamist extremists left 130 people dead in a series of attacks across Paris which increasingly appear to have been coordinated from Brussels. The prosecutors said Jawad O., who was not further identified, had been charged with taking part in the activities of a terrorist group. The prosecutors said AlDe'emeh and Khalid O. submitted the false affidavit to a court hearing on Nov. 27 in the hope of obtaining Jawad's release.
