Two South African brothers appeared in court Monday accused of plotting to blow up the U.S. Embassy in Pretoria and Jewish institutions, and planning to join Daesh (ISIS), police said.The United States and Britain warned last month of possible imminent attacks by Islamist militants in South Africa's major cities.Two other suspects also arrested Saturday were reported to be linked to the brothers.Muslims account for only 1.5 percent of South Africa's 53 million people and the country has so far escaped extremist attacks staged in several countries on the continent.
