Nigeria was Saturday hosting talks on Boko Haram with regional and Western powers, as the United Nations warned of the militants' ties to the ISIS group and its threat to African security.Nigeria is seeking closer military cooperation to bring to an end nearly seven years of violence in the remote northeast, which has left at least 20,000 dead and displaced more than 2.6 million people.The summit -- two years after a first such high-level gathering in Paris -- comes as Nigeria's military pushes deep into Boko Haram's Sambisa Forest stronghold after recapturing swathes of territory.Deputy U.S. Secretary of State Anthony Blinken said Washington, which is flying surveillance drones over northeast Nigeria from a base in northern Cameroon, did not see Boko Haram as defeated.Lake Chad forms the border between Nigeria, Cameroon, Chad and Niger.
