Chinese President Xi Jinping called for all sides to exercise restraint Monday in a telephone call about North Korea with U.S. President Donald Trump, as Japan conducted exercises with a U.S. aircraft carrier strike group headed for Korean waters. Trump sent the carrier group for exercises in waters off the Korean Peninsula as a warning, amid growing fears North Korea could conduct another nuclear test in defiance of United Nations sanctions.Trump has vowed to prevent North Korea from being able to hit the United States with a nuclear missile and has said all options are on the table, including a military strike.South Korean and U.S. officials have feared for some time that North Korea's sixth nuclear test could be imminent.Satellite imagery analyzed by 38 North, a Washington-based North Korea monitoring project, found there was some activity at North Korea's Punggye-ri nuclear test site last week.
