Army spokesman Overson Mugwisi did not respond to requests for comment on behalf of Chiwenga.In early November, after Mugabe had sacked Mnangagwa for plotting against him, Mnangagwa met Chiwenga in China, said two sources familiar with the general's movements.An ethnic Karanga like Mnangagwa, Chiwenga joined Mugabe's Chinese-backed ZANLA guerrilla army in the early 1970s.
