The Dialogue session set for Wednesday already looks to be at risk, with Hezbollah insisting that FPM leader Michel Aoun be elected president.Called for by Speaker Nabih Berri – the party's ally – the session was to discuss the election of a president, and whether that needs to be preceded by the creation of a new vote law, and then the election of a new parliament, which would select a president. This too is an insult to people's intelligence, for the Lebanese know that Bassil was the previous energy minister, and the portfolio has been held by the FPM, Amal and Hezbollah over the last 20 years.
