Nearly 70 years ago, and as hostilities between Palestinians and the Jews were taking a turn for the worse, Jewish extremists blew up the British Officer's Club on King's Road in Haifa.Since it is the centenary of the Balfour Declaration, U.K. politicians are reminiscing, lamenting the fact that the declaration was not fully implemented, as if their hollow statements should be enough to make the Palestinians forgive and forget. A gentle reminder to the British and their friends: Palestinians have not forgiven and forgotten.
