Premier Lebanese basketball clubs threatened to withdraw from the upcoming season "if the governing body does not increase the number of foreign players to three on court simultaneously," according to a joint statement issued Tuesday.The premier basketball clubs have demanded the introduction of one more foreigner on court for the upcoming season of the Lebanese league, claiming the financial demands of the local players have become unfeasible and illogical.Two months have already passed since the end of the previous season and none of the teams have added any players.The start of next season was originally slated for mid-October, but with the current crisis it is likely that the league tipoff will be postponed.
