SAN JOSE: Arsenal's Costa Rican international striker Joel Campbell will spend next season on loan at Spanish club Betis, according to press reports here on Monday.

"It is a great opportunity for my development, I will be playing in the best league in the world and am determined to play and show what I am made of," Campbell told the daily La Nacion.

Campbell, 20, moved to Arsenal from local side Deportivo Saprissa a year ago but spent last season on loan at French club Lorient, scoring three goals in 25 league appearances.
