Chelsea are planning to hijack Arsenal's move for Real Madrid and Germany midfielder Sami Khedira, The Daily Express reports. Arsenal were planning on following up their marquee signing of Alexis Sanchez with Khedira but Jose Mourinho has put a dent in their plans. Khedira is also very good friends with Arsenal's record signing Mesut Ozil and is part of the Germany squad with Arsenal striker Lukas Podolski and defender Per Mertesacker. The German makes 150,000 pounds per week at Real Madrid, which is higher than any player at Arsenal.Having managed Khedira during his time at Real, Mourinho is a fan of the former Stuttgart player and is always looking for midfielders that can adapt to his rigid style of play.Chelsea are reportedly willing to beat Arsenal's offer and are more than happy to meet Khedira's wage demands.
