Istanbul giants Galatasaray are to appoint the assistant head coach of the Turkish national team, Hamza Hamzaoglu, as their new manager after sacking Italian Cesare Prandelli, Turkish media said Friday.Club officials have confirmed the parting of company with Prandelli after less than a half season in charge due to their disastrous Champions League showing, although Galatasaray have yet to issue an official statement.Prandelli had arrived at the club only in July, succeeding fellow Italian Roberto Mancini, after having failed to steer Italy into the knockout stages of the World Cup as national manager.
