Manchester City have turned their attentions to Jack Wilshere after seeing two bids for Raheem Sterling rebuffed by Liverpool earlier this week, according to Sky Sports. With the Reds refusing to budge on their 50 million pound valuation of the former Queens Park Rangers player, City have now reportedly cast their eye on another England international in Wilshere.City are determined to bolster their homegrown ranks and view Wilshere, who is still only 23, as an ideal signing with a summer overhaul to their squad on the cards.Sky Sports reporter James Cooper says that City chairman Khaldoon al-Mubarak has promised manager Manuel Pellegrini that his squad will be considerably improved this summer. Liverpool are edging closer to a move for Southampton right-back Nathaniel Clyne after the Saints agreed a deal for the England international's replacement, the Liverpool Echo reported. That hasn't, however, discouraged United from a potential move, with the northwest side hoping to land a Real Madrid player in any deal that sees David de Gea move in the opposite direction.
