Ahed were officially crowned champions of the Lebanese Premier League Friday after drawing 1-1 with capital rivals and runners-up Ansar in their final matchday of the season.Runners-up Ansar will also be buoyant following a much-improved season after finishing in a dismal eighth place in the previous campaign.Only goal difference separates 10th-placed Akhaa Aley and 11th-placed Racing, both on 20 points, with guaranteed safety on offer for the winners.Shabab al-Sahel, who are a point clear of the drop in ninth place, will need at least a draw against Shabab al-Ghazieh to maintain their place in the top flight next season.
