Ansar and Tripoli kicked off the new Lebanese Premier League season with a thrilling 1-1 draw Friday which also saw Safa ease to a convincing 3-1 win against Racing.Michael Halegbe, who netted 16 times for the northern club last season, opened the scoring for the hosts inside 10 minutes before Ansar responded through a Imad Ghaddar penalty on the half hour mark. After latching onto a raking crossfield ball and racing away, the tireless Youssef was foiled by the feet of the Ansar goalkeeper before Helegbe's ensuing effort from the rebound yielded the same result.Ansar clung on for the draw with the returning Jamal Taha left with much to ponder ahead of the Beirut derby next week.
