Ansar's dire season got worse Tuesday as the Beirut club suffered a 2-1 defeat at home to Syrian club Al-Wahda in the AFC Cup.The break appeared to have had the desired effect early on in Sidon as Ansar started the much better of two sides.Ansar continued to press forward, and their early pressure deservedly told on 12 minutes.The gangly striker was a whisker away from re-establishing Ansar's lead shortly after the break.The loss sees Ansar drop to third place in Group C on three points while Wahda (5) climb into second, two points behind leaders Al-Faisaly.
