A late goal from Faisal Zayid saw Lebanon's long-standing unbeaten run snapped at 16 matches after Kuwait defeated an insipid Cedars 1-0 in an international friendly at the Kuwait Sports Club Stadium Thursday.Lebanon have scored just once in their last three matches. In truth, Kuwait were similarly toothless in front of goal, though they did manage to take an early stranglehold of midfield. The substitution yielded instant results as Kuwait gradually gained a foothold in Lebanon's half.Kuwait were far more threatening in the final third, however, with a last-ditch tackle from Kassem El-Zein preventing a sure tap-in for the hosts.
