BEIRUT: Lebanon’s Andrea Paoli was beaten out by Li-Cheng Tseng of Chinese Taipei in the women’s under 57kg Taekwondo quarterfinal at the ExCel South Arena, 2012 London Olympics Thursday, August 9.
Paoli’s scoreless first two rounds put her in a decisive final bout against Tseng’s five point lead.
Two penalty points were awarded to Paoli in the last round which brought the final score to 5-2, advancing Li-Cheng Tseng into the semifinals against Olympic host Great Britain’s Jade Jones later today.
Egypt's Hedaya Wehba lost to Marlene Harnois of France who will go on to fight against China’s Yuzhuo Hou in the semfinals.
