Italy's Arianna Fontana won the Olympic women's 500-meter race Tuesday after a photo finish with home favorite Choi Minjeong who was later disqualified.China's Fan Kexin, 500-meter world champion for the past three years in a row, was disqualified in the semifinals.Meanwhile, Dutch speedskaters continued their dominance at the Olympic Games with world champion Kjeld Nuis powering to gold in the men's 1,500-meters ahead of compatriot Patrick Roest.Nuis, the first reigning world champion to win Olympic gold in the distance, made a blistering start and finished in 1 minute, 44.01 seconds despite losing speed on the final lap.
